Annika is an adorable, spry terrier mix! Though her age says 8 years old, her actions and personality are certainly younger. Annika was a stray and had several medical issues that have since been solved, including mange, a mass, and bad teeth. Now that she's good as new, little Annie, as her foster parents call her, loves life! She loves exploring the fenced yard, loves going for walks, and loves riding in cars! Annie loves all people, including school age kids. In her heart, Annie is a lap dog with a spunky side. She enjoys playing with toys, especially if they squeak! Once she settles down, Annie wants to be warm and near people. She loves to snuggle and really enjoys affection. When you first meet Annie, you will notice that she barks... she is telling you to pet her! After she adjusts to her environment and realizes that you're going to pet her routinely, she stops barking except when very excited (when you first get home, when you get her leash out for a walk, etc.). This is the biggest terrier trait Annie has, aside from her adorable scruffy fur. If you can give Annie a few short days in your home, she will certainly charm her way into your heart! Annie is house trained, trustworthy in her foster parent's house loose, and walks well on a leash. She is crate trained, but prefers to not be crated unless necessary.
