Rocco is a shepherd/rottweiler mix that weighs in around 85 lbs. He has a big blocky head, adorable ears that perk up when you call him, and is very friendly. Rocco gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction. When we first met Rocco, he was in a large shelter. He had been in a kennel for 2 weeks and desperately wanted out! Having his energy restrained for so long made him a little nutty at first, but Rocco is now a model citizen! He spent two weeks at a local training facility, learning manners and new ways to harness his energy into positive behaviors. Rocco is easy to walk using the training he has learned. He sits before he goes in or out of a door. He goes in his crate on command. He is even working on maintaining his focus with cats around! Rocco is looking for a home that will be willing to continue his training- it's nothing complicated or hard, just a few simple techniques that will make him the perfect dog for your family! Rocco will do best with medium to large dogs. He would do fine with kids too! While Rocco doesn't want to harm cats, he is pretty interested in them as playmates, so a family with cats would have to work with him to focus less on the cats.
